About the Para Soccer Team

Para Soccer is an inclusive version of football that enables athletes with physical, neurological, hearing, or visual impairments to compete in organized formats adapted to their abilities. Governed by international standards, para football demonstrates that determination, teamwork, and skill transcend physical limitations.

The Cross River State Para Soccer Team plays a vital role in the Commission's inclusive sports development programme by identifying, training, and empowering talented athletes with disabilities to compete with distinction while promoting equal opportunities in sport.

Our programme brings together dedicated athletes, licensed coaches, technical officials, physiotherapists, sports scientists, strength and conditioning specialists, classification experts, and administrators who work together to develop elite para footballers capable of competing at the highest levels.

Through structured coaching programmes, grassroots talent identification, inclusive youth development initiatives, and regular competitions, we provide athletes with the technical, tactical, and physical preparation required to succeed.
